This society was set up to cater for everyone with an interest in music. For all you budding musicians out there, we run gigs all year long. UL ENTS will be running many events during the academic year and we will be getting the hottest UL bands to play support to the main ENTS acts! We also run workshops at various intervals during the year. So have a read through our Events Page, look out for flyers and posters around campus and remember kids…Rawk on!

About the Society

The UL Music Society offers something for everyone. The Music Room is fully equipped practice room for bands, events and competitions. The Music Soc holds lessons in a variety of instruments for beginners, as well as providing a facility for musicians to meet other people with similar tastes, and even form a band. Throughout the year Music Soc hopes to give aspiring UL Musicians a chance to perform and display their skills through the Open Mic Nights and the Battle of the Bands. Music Soc is a great way to meet new people, get involved in the music scene, and take part in lots of exciting events throughout the year.

Music Room Bookings

The Music Room is available to UL Music Society Members wishing to use it for practice. It is located upstairs in the Students Union near the Common Room entrance. The room is equipped with a PA system, Guitar Amps, A Drum Kit, A Keyboard, and all the necessary cables. The room is generally available Monday to Thursday between 9am to 9pm and on Friday between 10am and 3pm. The room will not be available outside these times. To book the room e-mail musicroombookings@gmail.com by Thursday prior to the week you wish to use it. Alternatively, drop by the Music Room and fill out one of the bookings forms on the door.
