Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. As you are aware, the elections for the Student's Union are running this week on Thursday 11th of March. The position of Communications Officer is looking like it's going to be a heated competition. On this website I'm gonna let you know why I should be elected over the competition. The reasons are pretty simple and clear, but while it may be obvious to many that I'm the right person for the job, others will need convincing.
As Communications officer I can bring you:

  • An Focal that has shorter articles to keep the reader's attention
  • Reintroduce letters to the editor in the paper
  • A news website, not just a paper online
  • A radio station with downloadable content for your MP3 player
  • A fully customizable choice of news when you create your ULSU.ie account
  • An ability to comment directly to the journalists or sabbatical officers in an open and fair manner
  • Sabbatical officer blogs that are updated with at least what they want published in the paper
  • A Communications office that allows for communication.
