April 27th - New Online Red Book
The Online Red Book has been updated and overhauled and is now running on shiny new software called PHPBB. People's old passwords will still work, but avatars from the old forum are gone for now. I'll hopefully get around to putting up some new ones in the coming weeks. Any problems contact folk@skynet.ie.

Practises will resume this coming Wednesday evening (Feb 18th) at 20:00 in the Salesian Hostel. All are welcome along. If you don't know where the hostel is, click on the 'Find Us' link on the left, where you'll find a map of the campus.

Spanish Point Weekend
We're heading to Spanish Point on the weekend of March 19th to 21st. We'll be staying at Ibricken Lodge. Cost should be in the region of €20-€30 depending on numbers. Expect the usual mix of craic, ceol and a bit of sightseeing!! All are welcome along. For more info, contact Dónal or Helen.

03 Jan, 2003
The last ever Spanish Point weekend in Baita Bosco will take place between January 31st and February 2nd 2003. The cost will be €20 to cover food. Also, the hostel is available from Thursday night until Monday night, so if people need somewhere to stay when they are flying in or out, the hostel will be available. Contact Dónal O'Brien, Helen Hennessy, or PJ Somers if you are interested.

On a seperate note, practise will be on as normal during the exams, so if you need somewhere to come and relieve the stress, you are more than welcome to come along. As always, we meet in the Salesian Hostel at 8:00pm, or the Sports Bar at about 9:30pm. We will be singing at Mass in the Salesian Church again from this Sunday coming (January 5th).

07 Nov, 2002
Our next Spanish Point weekend will be happening from December 6th to 8th. Cost will probably be €30, which covers transport, accomodation, and food. If you are interested, email Maeve or the Folk Group Committee.

Also, we will be singing at the annual Memorial Mass for deceased staff and students of the University this coming Sunday (Nov 10th). This Mass will be attended by a number of senior faculty from the college, including Dr. Roger Downer, President of the University. Anyone who can make is welcome to come and sing with us - we would ask that you come along to our practise tonight if you can.

The first weekend of the year in Spanish Point, is taking place this coming weekend (11 - 13 October) We'll be leaving Limerick some time on Friday evening, and will be back around 6pm on Sunday. Spanish Point (in case you missed this part before!) is a small village on the west coast of Ireland, and we go up there twice a semester, stay in a hostel, have a laugh, have a session (as in sing and play music!) each night in one of the local pubs, and do a bit of sightseeing - hoping to get in the Cliffs of Moher again this year! Cost should be 25euro (at most 30), which includes food, transport and accommodation! If people are interested (since unfortunately places are limited) could they get back to me on e-mail before or on Wednesday so that I can sort things out!! - Maeve

Ok guys - the first Spanish Point weekend for the coming year is provisionally from October 11th to 13th (the end of week 3). PJ has asked for that weekend, and we should be able to get the booking. For other weekends, no details are available yet, but will be posted here in time - Donal
